6/23/1757The Battle of Plassey started between Robert Clive, incharge of British army, and Nawab of Bengal, Siraj -Ud -Daula. In this battle Robert Clive won control of Bengal.
11/22/1971Indian and Pakistan governments protested violations of national airspace along the western border, but aerial conflict between the respective air arms began, preceding full-scale warfare between India and Pakistan by 12 days.

10/1/1932Indian Milatary Academy became functional with Brigadier LP Collins, DSO, OBE as the Commandant. The first course of 40 GCs had on its rolls Sam Manekshaw, Smith Dun and Mohd Musa, later to be Chiefs of the armies of their respective countries, i.e. India, Burma (now Myanmar) and Pakistan. This training was for a period of two and a half years.
