How to develop self-esteem is not a secret, it's a skill..one that we learn throughout the course of our lives.
Here's my recipe.
Ingredients:
* Connection (relationships with other people)
* Mastery (being capable)
* Assertiveness (standing up for what you believe in)
* Flexibility (the ability to adapt and consider new ideas or routines)
* Self-Control (the ability to control your own impulses)
* Compassion (empathy and kindness)
If you're like me, working on this could keep you busy for a long while, so don't expect to get there overnight. There are lots of times when we all have to...well, improvise.
