Mumbai, July 4 (IANS) Playback legend Lata Mangeshkar and National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut have paid tribute to Swami Vivekanand on the occasion of his 118th death anniversary on Saturday.

Posting a black-and-white picture of Swami Vivekananda, Mangeshkar wrote on social media: "The one whom I obeyed as my guru since my childhood, he is Swami Vivekanand ji. On the occasion of his purnyatithi, I bow down to him."

Kangana on the other hand, posted to convey her respect through her social media team: "Each work has to pass through these stages- ridicule, opposition & then acceptance. Those who think ahead of their time are sure to be misunderstood. Remembering #SwamiVivekananda on his punyatithi. A great saint who dreamt of a modern India with Indian values & cultural heritage."
